2024

Amnesty International Report and Findings on Genocide

In December 2024, Amnesty International released a nearly 300-page report detailing their investigation and findings on Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, including killings of civilians damage to and destruction of civilian infrastructure, forcible displacement, obstruction or denial of life-saving goods and humanitarian aid, and the restriction of power supplies. Human Rights Watch Report on Crimes Against Humanity

In November 2024, Human Rights Watch released a 154-page report on Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza, titled “Hopeless, Starving, and Besieged.” The report documents Israel’s use of starvation and deprivation of water to ethnically cleanse Palestinians, including its deliberate obstruction of aid and destruction of water treatment, purification, and storage facilities to starve Palestinians to death. Defense for Children International Report: Targeting Childhood

In September 2024, Defense for Children International released an analysis of children killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank. The findings detail Israel’s deliberate, widespread targeting and killing of children and blocking ambulances and emergency medical services from reaching injured children, including arresting and attacking first responders. In September 2024, the UN High Commission on Human Rights published the findings of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices concerning breaches of international law, using starvation as a weapon of war, genocide in the Gaza strip, and an apartheid system in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Anatomy of a Genocide: UN Special Rapporteur Report

In March 2024, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine published a significant report collating the mounting evidence that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It analyzed Israel’s deliberate pattern of violence against civilians, mostly women and children, its stated genocidal intent, and its distortions of international law to attempt to hide such actions. UN Special Rapporteur Report

In March 2022, the Special Rapporteur to the United Nations on the Situation of Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories submitted a thoroughly documented report which concluded that "Israel has imposed upon Palestine an apartheid reality in a post-apartheid world." Harvard Law School + Adameer Report

In February 2022, Harvard Law School's International Human Rights Clinic and Adameer, a Palestinian human rights group, issued a joint report entitled “Apartheid in the Occupied West Bank: A Legal Analysis of Israel’s Actions.” The extensively footnoted report allows the reader to explore sources leading to its conclusions. The report can be found here.​

Amnesty International Apartheid Report

In February 2022, a powerful and comprehensive report was published by Amnesty International, the global leader in human rights advocacy, titled: “Israel’s Apartheid Against Palestinians.” The report’s summary states that “Governments who continue to supply Israel with arms and shield it from accountability at the UN are supporting a system of apartheid, undermining the international legal order, and exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people.” The full report can be found here.

2021

Human Rights Watch Investigation

In May 2021, Israel unleashed hundreds of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, killing 232 people and destroying among other things four high rise buildings in which Gazans lived and worked. Human Rights Watch issued a report suggesting that these attacks were war crimes, and showing that Israel failed to prove any of its claims that served as a pretext for these bombings.​

Human Rights Watch Report

In April 2021, another extensively documented report was issued by Human Rights Watch, titled “A Threshold Crossed: Israeli Authorities and the Crimes of Apartheid and Persecution.” The 200+ page report outlines in detail the systematic discrimination, land confiscation, and abusive policies carried out by Israel. B’Tselem Report

In January 2021, a strong indictment of the Israeli government was issued by B’Tselem, Israel’s main human rights center. The report, “A regime of Jewish supremacy from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea: This Is Apartheid” Can be viewed here. Other reports by B'Tselem can be found here.

Yesh Din Report

In 2020, the Israeli human rights organization Yesh Din published a 58-page legal opinion titled: “The Occupation of the West Bank and the Crime of Apartheid” detailing what it called a “gargantuan colonization project” instituted by Israel against the Palestinian people. UN ESCWA Report

In 2017, a 74-page report was commissioned by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA): “Israeli Practices towards the Palestinian People and the Question of Apartheid.” It concludes that Israel has established an apartheid system of domination in violation of international law. The report can be downloaded here.

In 2009, a carefully documented 302-page report on the occupied Palestinian territories was commissioned by the South African government from an international group of legal scholars.  An excellent summary is available for download here.
